Anthem of the Seas recently returned to Southampton, following her first few successful cruises since the restart of operations. The first of Royal Caribbean International’s global fleet to once again welcome guests in Europe, Anthem comes complete with the world’s tallest observation capsule at sea, the North Star – an awe-inspiring 360-degree observation capsule that extends 300 feet above sea level offering incredible views of the UK’s coastline.
The North Star is just one of the world-class features on Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas with the ship offering an incredible array of activities. Adventures include RipCord by iFly, the world’s first sky diving experience at sea; FlowRider, the cruise line’s popular surf simulator; and SeaPlex the largest indoor activity space at sea, complete with bumper cars and roller skating.
What’s more, the ship boasts a Bionic Bar where guests enjoyed watching their favourite drinks mixed by robotic bartenders before catching a show at Two70, a game-changing entertainment space, and taking in the West End smash hit ‘We Will Rock You’ in the Royal Theater, all teeing the ship up to be the most action-packed cruise sailing from the UK this summer. Anthem’s first cruise departed on 7th July 2021.
UK families can choose from a combination of 4-night Ocean Getaways and 5- to 8-night British Isles cruises that feature visits to iconic destinations around the UK such as Liverpool, England; Kirkwall in Scotland and Belfast, Northern Ireland.
After a day of exploring the UK and adrenaline fuelled onboard adventures, guests had the option to choose from a culinary line-up including Wonderland, where diners were wowed by imaginative cuisine; Chops Grille for classic American steakhouse perfection; and Izumi, where guests sampled Far East flavours and fresh sushi, plus much more.
Anthem of the Seas’ summer itineraries are open for bookings and are available to UK residents above the age of 18 who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and those under the age of 18 with negative test results.
