SAGA has this morning announced that it has become the first cruise operator to be awarded the new Shield+ Covid-19 safety accreditation by Lloyd’s Register.
Lloyd’s Register, the maritime safety experts, awarded SAGA with their highest category of health assurance, which essentially confirms that the popular no fly cruise operator has met and exceeded the compliance criteria in every category set out by the UK Chamber of Shipping in their guidance for COVID Secure Cruising.
This positive news for cruising in general and no fly cruises from the UK follows many months of planning, surveying and detailed inspections of both of SAGA’s new-build vessels, Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure. Meaning that both ships have been awarded the accreditation.
We look forward to welcoming SAGA back to it’s award-winning programme of no fly cruises.
